Yobea stands for Youth Beacon. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring the inner scientist in today’s youth. By exposing students to different skill sets in STEaM (an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, art, and Mathematics), we are preparing them for the age of innovation. The world is like a colossal village, and it is our goal to bring every child in this village together, regardless of their background or access to resources.
What We Believe In
Our philosophy is that every student is a beacon of light, the light brought by learning. From this origin comes the name Yobea: a short form for Youth Beacon. As the saying goes, “to teach is to touch a life forever.” Yobea’s goal is to touch the lives of our students, so they can help spread the the lilght/wisdom when their own time comes.
Our Mission
Our mission is to spread the joy of STEaM to one and all regardless of their current access to resources. Internet access is one of key resources that allows any student to learn and get exited about STEaM.
